NEVER COUNT YOUR DATA ON FLASH-DRIVE!!!

Oh, God!!! What Happened to My Flash-Drive?
Well, to open our topic today, I just want to say that this month, there are two of my friend mentioned that their flash drive (Indonesia:Flashdisk) were broken and it led to the loss of their data in it. Some data saved in their flash drive are not really important but the others are extremely important. Nothing can they do but regretting and crying. Then, according to their experience, here, in my blog, I just want to share you information about the risk of using flash drive and an alternative way to save your data safely.
As I have mentioned before, the flash drive of my friends was broken. So that it can be concluded that flash drive can be broken. (Hmm….great conclusion). It is the weakness of a flash drive. It is prone to the viruses. Great deal of virus always spy your flash drive. They are always ready to attack your flash drive and get rid of your data. The viruses will infect your flash drive once you attach your flash drive to an “ill” laptop, netbook, or computer. The virus will infect your flash drive and your flash drive will be ill (sometime) before you realize it. If you are kind of I-don’t-care-about-my-flash-drive person, then you got have to be ready to have a viruses-have-eaten-all-of-your-data flash drive.
Flash-drives
Beside the high possibility of being infected by viruses, a flash drive also has a high possibility of being lost. It is really being lost. Yes, a real lost. Flash drive, at the beginning of its making, was really futuristic as it has a small form and it can save more data than floppy disk (Indonesia:Disket) does. Alas, Later, it is know that having a small a high possibility to be left behind. For example: One day you have to do your paper assignment. As the internet data on your home is off, then you are going to Internet coffee. You bring your flash drive in case you need to save a data. Then, after you are done surfing on Intenet Coffee, you go home. After arriving home, you realize that you had left you flash drive. Then you come back to Internet Coffee. Then, there are two possibilities that are ready to reach you; One is you can get your flash drive back as the internet coffee owner found it, and second you will get nothing as (maybe) the internet coffee owner didn’t found it and someone has taken it for himself.

Floopy-Disk, at which people used to save data

Well, may be after you read my two opinions about the weakness of flash drive you will nod your head and realize how risky it is to save important data in flash drive, while the other may shake his head side to side and disagree with my opinion. Those who disagree may say “I have saved it on my Computer so it doesn’t matter if my flash drive broken or lost”. Well if that is what you do, it is a good move. But how about your computer also infected by viruses because you have attached your infected flash drive before, and your computer is also broken. BANGGGG!!!!!!!!! Haha. To make it clear, my essay here is not suggesting you for not buying flash drive or whatsoever. The purpose of my essay is to give you an advice to not save your data only in your flash drive or computer because there is a safer place to save your data.
Cloud Storage
Well what is the safer place to save data? Well, according to my opinion, that safer place is cloud storage (Indonesia: Media penyimpanan berbasis awan). Why is it safer? Well, cloud storage is actually a model of data storage where the digital data is stored in logical pools, the physical storage span across multiple servers. Because it is saved in logical pools, you need no bring no tools to storage your data. Thing that you need to do is just upload your data to the serve and let get it done. Cloud storage also make it possible for you to access your data anywhere and everywhere with internet-data connection and also there is no possibilities for your data to get infected by virus (as long as I know). Then there is very less possibility for your data to lost (except you forget your password) Then, with cloud storage you no need to cry for your loss data because it is always be saved in the server and sever will not delete it without your permission.
